  Kentucky Derby

  did any of you watch the kentucky derby yesterday?.

  yesterday i watched the kentucky derby, i am not a horse racing fan, although i do enjoy going to the races.

  we have a nice track here about an hours drive from me.. but all the hype about it being the best sporting event, me being an indy race fan, thinking that is the greatest sporting event!!!!

  Wow - that was a brilliant finish!

  Usually horses that get pinned on the rail don't get to come to the front, but he sure managed it! Probably the reason he won by such a distance was that he had been pinned back for the rest of the race.

  Much of the Western world has turned its back on Christianity, the door is opening wide to Islam for sure.

  Did we watch the same video? The one I saw was about demographic change, nothing explicitly to do with religions - except that Muslim families are having more children than non-Muslim families. I reckon even the commentator missed that point in his own video - "We as Christians must spread the gospel" WTF??? Maybe he'd have been better of saying "Start having more children"!

  In an Islamic state you will not be free to choose what you believe, unlike you have been able to in a predominantly Christian one.

  The Qur'an is not peaceful, have a read for yourself and neither are the core Islamic doctrines. They are after one world, one faith, one god and his name is Allah. Worship or else :(

  Your statement shows a basic ignorance of the genuine tenets of Islam and lack of understanding of the Qur'an. Whilst there are extremist branches and twisters of the teachings - much like Christianity hmmm? - the majority are still just regular folks trying to live their lives the best they can.

  There is NO GENUINE Islamic state anywhere on this planet - reliably taught to me by a Muslim! Please don't let the current examples or Christian propaganda colour your views. If Islamic states are ever created in the 'Western' world, we can only hope and pray that there will be wise, moderate, genuine Muslims in charge.

  Anybody know what "Anerican Sign Language" is?

  Billy, it's signing for the deaf - there are 2 main types - ASL (American sign language) and BSL (British SL)

  (sorry if I missed the answer if you already got it in a post above this one!)

  If 'Dean Smith' is for real he's seriously compromising his employment status by writing what he did there.

  And hell - has anyone seen that pic on the page you get when you click 'read me' - that face is gonna give me nightmares - is it anyone specific?

  you have realize the background agenda of the commercial aspirations of the organization, there in lines the real truth.

  for example the return of christ to earth to establish his earthly kingdom, the start of the gt and the continuing on to the day of armageddon, the preaching of the gospel around the world ...etc.

  And can CTR really be blamed for the money monster that the society became? I'd say maybe in part, but would it be correct to say that it was the folks who came later who seriously grew the business?

  ps 3d (if you ever bother returning) - First, I've never seen or heard of your mags. Second, if River Media is a large business, why is it a member of the Small Business Forum, and will they be happy to hear about your internet spamming? Maybe I'll drop 'em a line hmmm??? Or maybe you're an employee of, rather than owner of River Media? Will you get fired for spamming? 'Bringing the company into disrepute' is generally classed as an instant dismissal by most employers.

  To kill the bacteria and other bugs when cooking pork and any other meat you need to heat it to the 'magic' temperature of 73 celsius (ie pasteurisation temperature) - right the way through - which is why its good to use a meat thermometer especially on thicker cuts.

  Why the sudden change of heart?

  after reading two consecutive posts about people returning to the fold, i have to ask a question... on some level, be it conscious or otherwise, have world events of the past year caused some to reconsider that we are in the "end times"?.

  Seriously though - that might be true for some. In our country at least, there even seems to be some sort of unrest amongst people who left religion or never had anything to do with it - a kind of 'spiritual hunger' - or a 'spiritual panic'?

  For example, this year there were newspaper columnists actually bemoaning the fact that the true meaning of easter was ignored, that children aren't taught about it any more. They are trumpeting about 'traditional Christian values' which have been lost or eroded. We want to celebrate St George's day - there was a petition raised by a non-churchgoer to have all church bells rung - why??? Why celebrate a saint's day when you don't even subscribe to the faith which created the saint in the first place?!

  the only way I can describe it is that the population want the churches to do something to fix the mess - "otherwise we're doomed", its weird.
